Orlando von Doellinger is a Senior Attending Psychiatrist at Centro Hospitalar do Tâmega e Sousa (Penafiel, Portugal) where he was Head of the Psychiatry and Mental Health Department from 2016 to 2019. He has a PhD in Psychology and has been an Invited Assistant Professor at the Clinical Neurosciences and Mental Health Department of the Oporto University Medical School since 2012.
He is a full member and training analyst of the International Psychoanalytical Association and of the Portuguese Psychoanalytical Society, member of the Teaching Committee of the Portuguese Society, and Head of the Board of the Oporto Psychoanalytic Institute.Author of several medical and psychoanalytic papers his current research interests include psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis in the training of the psychiatry residents, mind-body relationship in psychoanalysis, and psychoanalysis and cinema.
